From damaged hip to my first Paralympics

A lady who broke her hip whereas roller-skating on the age of 12, forcing her to desert her dream of taking part in soccer, has mentioned she cried when she came upon she had a spot on the GB girls’s wheelchair basketball workforce on the Paralympics.

Lucy Robinson, 22, from Mountsorrel in Leicestershire, mentioned: “None of us anticipated it and I simply began crying.”

The first faculty trainer, who’s the youngest member of the workforce, was identified with avascular necrosis following her damage, which means the blood provide to the top of her bones is disrupted.

She mentioned she wished to encourage different younger individuals to vary their life via sport.
