Scottish comic Sir Billy Connolly has stated the medical challenges he faces whereas filming for tv are “getting worse”.
He was talking throughout a session on the Edinburgh TV Pageant honouring the 78-year-old with a lifetime achievement award for his contribution to the business.
Sir Billy was identified with Parkinson’s illness in 2013 and retired from stay performances 5 years later.
The comic has continued to make TV programmes however, interviewed by his spouse, Dr Pamela Stephenson Connolly, he stated: “The challenges currently have been medical. They’re getting worse.”
“I should weigh it up and see how unhealthy it will get. Play it by ear.”
